This recipe comes from Rachel who got it from Allrecipes.com. She made it for me as part of her dinner to us after Ginger was born and it is amazing!!!
Holy Cow! It was so good!
Cocoa Apple Cake:
3 eggs 1 tsp. baking soda
2 C. gran. sugar 1 tsp. cinnamon
1 C. Butter, softened 1 tsp. allspice
1/2 c. water 1/2 c. semi-sweet choc. chips
2 1/4 c. A.P. flour 2 C. grated apple
2 T. cocoa powder 1 T. vanilla
*Directions:
-Cream together eggs, sugar, butter, & water until fluffy
-In separate bowl combine dry ingredients
- Add dry to wet ingredients
- Fold in choc chips, apple, & vanilla. Stir until evenly distributed
-Spoon into greased, floured 10 inch pan or bundt pan
-Bake @ 325 F 60-70 minutes
